September 11, 2009Salutations! That word always makes me think of Charlotte and her fancy web. I'd love to have a spelling spider, I could use her instead of the occasional dictionary look-ups. Just ask her if I am supposed to "affect" or "effect"… well, this is assuming she is an educated spider and knows the definitions as well. Maybe Spiderman could help her out. Well that's just silly talk… Spiderman is much too busy to help me and my spelling spider. The three-day weekend was nice but it's been a super busy week here in the office. We can handle it though! Busy little bees. Not too busy to skip a tutorial though! We have a little fauna and flora to keep you busy in tutorial land. It's Anthropomorphic Week here at TutorialsPortal! What a mouthful. This we week we have some bear necessities to share with you. Follow along with these familiar furry friends in a not so familiar setting. Keep your picnic baskets locked away as Yogi and Boo Boo become the real deal - they just happen to be Smarter Than The Average Bears! And, you shouldn't just be concerned about bears in these woods, there's a Wolverine too! Okay, so he is not quite an animal, but he fits right in from time to time! Learn how to change our famous movie Wolverine into his more recognizable X-Force style. Watch where you walk while you're out in the woods, there are some dangerous plants out there too - keep your eyes pealed for A Plant That Can Eat You. Also, be mindful of those Vicious Vegetables that you have packed away in your basket, they feel a little unearthed… On second thought, maybe you should just let Yogi take your food. Happy Hunting! And now onto the fun stuff. Step 1: Driving in the Forest We begin with our driving picture. We don’t this person to be driving down the road anymore, we in fact want him sitting in the forest. ![]() Use your Pen Tool and draw around the windshield in the picture. If you find you can’t see through the Fill color that shows up as you’re drawing, go to the Layers window and make the Fill 0%. Go to a chosen image of the forest and select all and copy it CTRL+C. Now, go back to the file with the driving picture. CTRL+click on the shape in the Layers window you just made, so it draws a selection around the windshield. Now, CTRL+SHIFT+V to paste your forest into that selected shape. This creates a mask and you can move the forest around in the window until you get it where you want it...
